Secure removal of data stored in the product
Some of the data of the product is stored on a removable storage medium (DIM module). If the data on the removable storage medium is classified as sensitive data from the operator's point of view and is not intended for later use, reset the device to the factory settings using MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio before disposing of the data. This also deletes the storage medium content. Alternatively, remove the DIM module and disposed of it through a qualified disposal process.
The following data is deleted/reset:
- Configuration of the device
- Device name
- Device address
- Safety-relevant data
The following data is not reset during this procedure and can be modified individually if available on the described product:
- AS-Interface address
- DIP switch settings
- Potentiometer settings
- Scope recording of the device
- Fault memory
