Protective measures against electrical hazards
WARNING
Electric shock when disconnecting or connecting live connectors.
Severe or fatal injuries.
- Switch off all supply voltages.
- Make sure that the devices of the system are de-energized.
- Never connect or disconnect connectors while they are energized.
- Never disconnect the connectors ES+ and ES– if you do not know the actual state of charge of the MOVI‑DPS® storage bundle.
- Discharge the MOVI-DPS® storage bundle to less than 2 V before disconnecting it from the device. Use one of the designated discharge units from SEW-EURODRIVE to discharge the MOVI-DPS® storage bundle.

Destruction of the connected device
- Note that the MOVI‑DPS® storage unit can carry voltage even when it is disconnected from the supply system. Check the voltage of the MOVI‑DPS® storage unit at the connectors ES+ and ES–. If the voltage is over 2 V, wait until it has dropped below 2 V or discharge the MOVI-DPS® storage unit using the EKD-003 discharge unit from SEW-EURODRIVE.
