Positioning endless – Touchprobe remaining distance in direction of travel (422)
Operating modes 420 – 423 are available once the additional function "Touchprobe function (4 PD)" has been activated.
This operating mode enables the position-controlled movement of an axis, where the sign of the target position (PO 7/8) determines the direction of movement. A Touchprobe trigger event at the digital input activates relative positioning based on the current actual position.
The desired relative position is specified via process data and can be adjusted as often as required before the trigger event is activated. The relative position is processed as a value, and sensor-based positioning is carried out in the direction of travel.
The movement can be paused before and after the Touchprobe event via the following signals:
- "Enable/emergency stop"
- "Enable/application stop"
- "Start/stop with fieldbus ramp"
- "Output stage inhibit"
Status bit: Touchprobe travel canceled
If the operating mode is exited during active sensor-based positioning (status bit Trigger activated), the Touchprobe travel aborted status bit is set.
Status bit: Maximum position reached
The Maximum position reached status bit has no effect in this operating mode.
Status bit: "In position" signal active
This status bit becomes active after sensor-based positioning has been successfully completed. It indicates that the position has been reached.
Control bit 0: Single trigger
After sensor-based positioning has been completed, this control bit must be deactivated in the Touchprobe control word to complete the process correctly. The process can then be restarted on a rising edge of the Start/Stop with fieldbus ramp bit.
The Touchprobe 1 counter is reset after power off.
If modulo limits are used, the modulo actual position is reported back via PI 7/8. Internally, the remaining distance is offset against the absolute actual position.
