Calculation formulas

At the relevant points in the design process, a formula number refers to the corresponding calculation formula. The formulas are listed in tabular form following the design process in the section Calculation formulas for BK.., BKB.., BP.., BR.., BY.., or BZ.. brakes.

The quantities used in the formulas, including the basis for their definitions, can be found under Key to the project planning procedures.

At several points within the design process, checks against product characteristic values are performed, the results of which may be negative. Notes on how to proceed in such cases are summarized under Project planning measures.
