Disconnecting the system from the grid
WARNING
Ineffective disconnection from the grid due to charged storage units.
Severe or fatal injuries.
- Disconnect all supply voltages.
- Make sure that the devices of the system are de-energized.
- Discharge the energy storage units using a braking resistor or a discharge unit from SEW-EURODRIVE.
- Short-circuit the energy storage units after discharging.
Disconnecting the system from the grid does not necessarily lead to a safe state. The energy storage units must therefore be discharged and shorted before you perform any work on the system. Observe the specifications in chapter Discharging energy storage units before service work for this purpose.
