Monitoring the energy storage systems

• Make sure that the diagnostic signals supplied by the energy storage system can be evaluated at all times. Use the "Storage unit monitoring" function of the MOVIKIT^® software modules for this purpose. For further information, refer to the MOVIKIT^® manuals.

The installed LS Materials energy storage units can be connected to the control system via a bus coupler from SEW-EURODRIVE. To do so, the bus coupler must be added manually in the IEC Editor and the corresponding terminals with their variables must be connected via the "Storage Monitoring" function in the MOVIKIT^® Power and Energy Solutions module. For further information, refer to the MOVIKIT^® manuals. The MOVIKIT^® software module (PowerMode or EnergyMode) then takes over monitoring of the storage unit. If necessary, the MOVIKIT^® software module automatically disconnects the energy storage unit from the DC link and issues a corresponding fault message.
