Repeat accuracy of the stopping distance for line-operated motors
With line-operated motors, the brake is used for stopping the motor during normal operation. In this context we are talking about a "working brake". Brake application from the operating speed is the normal case here.
In such applications, the application factors fmmin and fMmax are initially used to determine the stopping distance and its typical scattering across all specimens.
However, the friction system of the brakes is operated in a stationary operating window and therefore, in such applications, a single specimen exhibits good reproducibility of the braking torque within the typical scattering range.
The parameter xB for determining this repeat accuracy describes how strongly the stopping distance of an specimen typically fluctuates within a specific load situation. This is an empirically determined factor.
