G53 – Selection of machine coordinate system (base coordinate system) / modal disabling of programmed shifts

The machine coordinate system is selected. All absolutely programmed coordinates (e.g. X, Y, Z, A, B, C) refer only to the machine coordinate system. In the SRL program, the machine coordinate system is called the base coordinate system.
