To avoid step losses, the output torque of the motor should be greater than the determined mechanical torque, taking into account the inherent inertia.
You can determine the required motor data from the requirements of the load to be moved and by taking into account additional loads such as bearings and gears. Important parameters include:
- Inertia
- Positioning cycle times
- Starting torque, holding torque and torque at the maximum required speed
- Acceleration and torque during mechanical resonance, e.g. when using mechanical energy storage devices such as springs, vibration buffers or long drive belts.
