Concepts for rail-mounted mobile systems
Pallet shuttle (2D) | In a pallet shuttle (2D), a drive is used for movement in the direction of travel. |
Pallet shuttle (4D) | In a pallet shuttle (4D), a drive is used for movement in the main direction of travel. A redirection can be used to implement the movement transversely to the main direction of travel. Alternatively, a second drive is used for the second axis. |
Container shuttle (2D) | In a container shuttle (2D), a drive is used for movement in the direction of travel. |

Hybrid solutions (travel on rails and ground) | A differential drive with 2 motors is used for hybrid solutions that enable travel on rails and ground. Depending on the application, the vehicle is supported either on the fixed rollers (in the rack) or on the swivel casters (floor). For rail operation the drives are rigidly coupled in the software. |
Shuttle vehicle (2D) | With the shuttle vehicle, a shuttle satellite with its own drive can travel into the aisles between racks transversely to the main direction of travel. For example, the shuttle satellite can pick up or set down transport boxes. |
Transfer shuttle (2D) | With a transfer shuttle, one or more drives are used for movement in the main direction of travel. |
