Application examples for rail-guided solutions

A rail-guided application is a solution for automating warehouses or transporting goods along a defined route. In some warehouses, 4D shuttles are used that can move in both x and y directions. To detect the position of the application distance encoders or sensors are commonly used. Compared to free-moving applications, the requirements for safety technology are reduced if the application is operated in an area closed off for people.
