STO – Safe Torque Off

If the STO function is activated, the drive inverter no longer supplies power to the motor. As a result, the drive cannot generate torque. This safety sub-function corresponds to a non-controlled stop according to EN 60204‑1, stop category 0.

INFORMATION

The motor coasts to a halt or is stopped mechanically.

Controlled standstill is preferred, if possible.
