With remote devices in particular, it may be beneficial to freely assign the digital inputs of the basic device with used sensors according to the desired pin assignment.
The "Freely configure sensor input source" option in the module configuration has been set to "Yes". The sensors can be freely assigned to the available device inputs.
Inputs to which no sensors have been allocated can be freely assigned.
The digital outputs can also be freely assigned.
When using compact extra-low voltage drives
When using compact extra-low voltage drives, the sensor inputs can be linked not only with inputs that exist physically but also with virtual digital inputs (VDIs).
All sensor inputs are automatically linked to virtual inputs (VDIs) using the "Read in all sensors via PO5" switch. These can be controlled by the higher-level controller using process output word 5 bits 8-15.
