AS‑Interface device profile

The basic cycle of AS-Interface communication provides 4 bits of payload data (4 DO and 4 DI) for each device. When exchanging data via the various combined transaction types (CTT), these data bits are no longer used in part to transmit the actual payload data bits, but rather to implement a transmission protocol between the master and device.

The various device profiles enable larger data widths to be exchanged in correspondingly longer transmission times without changing the basic cycle of AS-Interface communication.

• Device profile S-7.A.7 (CTT3) with extended address range A or B
• Device profile S-7.A.A (CTT3) with extended address range A or B
