Rotary knife
The MOVIKIT® RotaryKnife software module automatically generates a curve profile during runtime using the "nominal product length", "diameter", "number of tools", "synchronous angle", and "sync correction" (PI 10-14) parameters. After synchronization, the axis follows the master axis by means of an electronic cam. The curve profile generator is only active in operating modes 1400 and 1401.
During motion, recalculation of the curve can be started by changing the parameters "nominal product length" and "synchronous angle". The parameters "number of tools" and "knife diameter" may only be changed at standstill and without enable. The modulo boundaries change in the process, which means that referencing is always necessary afterwards. The changeover to the new curve is made as soon as the curve end of the previous curve has been reached. Depending on the curve profile, fast acceleration may occur at the transition between curves.
