Setting the cycle time
In the task manager, check the cycle time of the HighPrio task and ensure that it is not exceeded during operation. If necessary, increase the set cycle time on the axes and on the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER. For specific requirements regarding the cycle times to be set, refer to chapter Project planning notes.
The cycle time is set in the following steps:
Setting the "Controller setpoint cycle" on the axes
In MOVISUITE®, perform the following steps for all lower-level axes:
- Open the configuration for the axis.
- In the "Functions" section, open the "Setpoints" configuration menu and its submenu "Basic settings".
- In the "Basic settings" section, set the value in the "Controller setpoint cycle" edit box to the required value.
- In the section of the software module of the axis, open the "Drive functions" configuration menu, and in it the submenu "FCB 10 Interpolated position control".
- In the "FCB 10 Interpolated position control" area, set an integer multiple of the cycle time in the "Average filter time" edit box.
Setting the TaskHighPrio cycle time for the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER
In MOVISUITE®, perform the following steps for the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER:
- Open the configuration of the MOVI‑C® CONTROLLER.
- In the "MOVIRUN® flexible" section, open the "Task system" configuration menu.
- Under "Task system", enter the required value in the "Cycle time of the HighPrio Task" edit box.
- Click on the blue arrow in the "Task system" area of the "Sync offset EtherCAT®" edit box to accept the suggested value.
