Engineering via the fieldbus interface (X40, X41)
In principle, engineering is possible via the fieldbus interface. Engineering via the fieldbus interface is subject to the following limitations:
- Speed
- The fieldbus interface is designed for process data synchronicity and reliability. The fieldbus interface is not optimized for transmission of large amounts of data, such as IEC projects.
- IP stack
- The IP stack is part of the IEC project. If an IEC project is loaded without fieldbus stations, a connection to the device via the fieldbus interface is no longer possible.
- IP address
- The IP address is specified in the IEC project.
