Variable torque limiting Q1
The additional function "Variable torque limiting Q1" allows the torque to be limited variably. The torque is limited to the value of the "Minimum torque limit" parameter set in the [Torque limit] configuration menu. For fieldbus operation, the process data length is extended by 2 process data words.
INFORMATION
In application mode "100: Jog mode – position controlled" (FCB 20), lag error monitoring cannot be deactivated. Therefore, use application mode "101: Jog mode – speed controlled" (FCB 05) when a torque limit is activated.
Devices with firmware 9 or later
For devices with firmware 9 or later, torque limiting Q1 is effective in the following drive functions:
- FCB 05 Speed control (jog mode – speed controlled)
- FCB 09 Position control (positioning mode)
- FCB 12 Reference travel (referencing mode)
If the "Use torque limits from profile value connection" parameter is activated in the [Torque limit] configuration menu, torque limiting Q1 also applies to the following drive functions:
- FCB 02 Stop default (no operating mode selected (value "0"))
- FCB 13 Stop at application limit (enable/application stop, fault response)
- FCB 14 Emergency stop (enable/emergency stop, fault response)
- FCB 26 Stop at user-defined limits (when changing the operating mode)
Devices with firmware 9 or earlier
For devices with firmware 9 or earlier, torque limiting Q1 is effective in the following drive functions:
- FCB 05 Speed control (jog mode – speed controlled)
- FCB 09 Position control (positioning mode)
In the following drive functions, the drive uses the value set in the [Monitoring functions] > [Limit values] configuration menu as the torque limit:
- FCB 02 Stop default (no operating mode selected (value "0"))
- FCB 13 Stop at application limit (enable/application stop, fault response)
- FCB 14 Emergency stop (enable/emergency stop, fault response)
- FCB 26 Stop at user-defined limits (when changing the operating mode)
