EtherCAT^® cycle 1 ms, distributed clocks cycle 2 ms

• MOVITRAC^® and MOVIGEAR^® can also synchronize to 2 ms distributed clocks. The synchronization is unambiguous in this case and also at multiples of 2 ms. Several MOVITRAC^® or MOVIGEAR^® units are in phase. Accordingly, there is no "dead time offset" between two devices operated interpolated with the same setpoints, and the devices are running synchronously.
• Generating substitute values for interpolated setpoints (FCB10) is not provided for this case. This also applies to devices with a basic cycle of 1 ms, such as MOVI-C^® MOVIDRIVE^®. It can happen that in case of a failure of the process data the setpoint position stops and is not extrapolated at "constant speed".
