Diagnostic unit DUO10A (oil ageing)
The DUO10A diagnostic unit was developed for timely planning of oil changes.
The diagnostic unit consists of a Pt100 temperature sensor and an evaluation unit. The Pt100 temperature sensor installed in the gear unit measures the current gear unit oil temperature. The diagnostic unit uses the oil temperature values to calculate the predicted remaining service life of the oil. This calculated value is continuously displayed on the evaluation unit display. If required, the display can display the current gear unit oil temperature.
The evaluation unit contains the oil types used by SEW-EURODRIVE, whereby an oil type approved by SEW-EURODRIVE can be customized for customers.
Oil types:
Oil type | Designation | Limit temperature |
|---|---|---|
Mineral CLP/bio oil | OEL1 | 100 °C |
Synthetic CLPHC/CLPPAO | OEL2 | 130 °C |
CLPPG polyglycol | OEL3 | 130 °C |
Food grade oil | OEL4 | 100 °C |
Customer-specific | OEL5 | Default setting = OEL1 |
Four switching outputs (NC/NO contact) with the following functions are available to connect the evaluation unit:
- Pre-alarm:
- Is set to a few days before expiration of the remaining service life. The number of days can be set directly on the evaluation unit.
- Main alarm:
- Is set at zero crossing of the predicted remaining service life.
- Limit temperature:
- Indicates that the permitted oil temperature has been exceeded.
- Readiness for operation:
- Displays errors in the wiring and recognizable faults in the evaluation unit.
For further information on the evaluation unit and accessories, refer to the "Diagnostic unit DUO10A" manual, part number 11473428/EN.
