Connecting a safe brake module to the DC link
There are various options for controlling a motor brake, such as direct control of a DC 24 V brake or the use of brake control units. For the functionally safe control of a brake or the direct DC link supply of the brake control unit, the SBM safe brake module for control cabinet installation can be connected to the supply and regenerative module.
The use of angled bars is recommended for connecting to DC link X4. This means that the ring cable lug for the supply line of the SBM safe brake module does not need to be designed for the large retaining screw of the DC link busbar. The angled bars are available in a set of 2 in 2 different sizes.
