Parameters for calculating the suggested values
Suggested values are generated for the Parameters for optimizing the cycle time in the configuration of the software module, and they result in a more dynamic storage and retrieval process. These suggested values are intended as a guide and can be changed if necessary.
- Shortest box length [8]
- Length of the shortest box in the storage location.
- Distance between belt end and storage location [9]
- Distance between belt end and storage location.

- Suggested value for "Belt stop distance"
- The "Belt stop distance" should be set so that a box that is to remain on the belt after a storage process does not come into contact with the telescope. This would result in the box being pulled off the belt or possible damage to the friction lining of the telescope.

- In addition, the remaining box must not protrude beyond the end of the belt to such an extent that it would collide with the shelf when it is set down.

- To determine the suggested value, it is assumed for the lower limit value that the center of gravity of the boxes is located sufficiently far toward the center that a protrusion of 20% of the "Shortest box length [8]" beyond the end of the belt does not result in the box tipping over onto the telescope fork.
- The "Distance between belt end and storage location [9]" is taken as the upper limit value for the suggested value, with a safety margin of 10% to allow for possible structural vibrations in the Z direction.
- The smaller of these two limit values is specified as the suggested value:
Suggested value = min(0.2×[8]│0.9×[9])- Suggested value for "Belt pretravel distance"
- The "Belt pretravel distance" must not be greater than the distance between a box to be retrieved and the end of the belt, as this slows down the motion sequence. A value of 0 would also delay the process.
- For the suggested value, 20% of the "Shortest box length [8]" is used as the basis – in the same manner as the "Belt stop distance" – but is limited in accordance with the "Distance between belt end and storage location [9]" for retrieving a box from storage depth 1.
- The smaller of these two limit values is specified as the suggested value:
Suggested value = min(0.2×[8]│[9])- Suggested value for "Belt overtravel distance"
- The "Belt overtravel distance" is used to align and/or position the box at slide gates or a light barrier. This prevents the box from having to be repositioned for further transportation in the warehouse.
- The configured "Distance of box to belt end [2]" is specified for the suggested value.
