Parameters for optimizing the cycle time
The following parameters provide the telescope and the belt with additional travel distances in order to make the storage and retrieval process more dynamic with optimized timing.
- Belt stop distance [7]
- The stop distance of the belt during a storage process describes the distance the belt travels after the box has left the belt. This means the box is moved at a speed greater than 0 after it has been transferred to the telescope. The "Belt stop distance" should be set in such a way that boxes that are not to be transferred to stock remain on the belt.

- Belt pretravel distance [4]
- Distance a belt is allowed to travel to reach the transfer speed of a box at a synchronous point not equal to 0 during the process of removing a box from stock. This parameter should be set taking into account the position of boxes already present on the load handling device.

- Belt overtravel distance [5]
- Describes the distance between the box and the end of the belt at the end of the movement during the process of removing a box from stock.
