Mechanically defined parameters

The following figure shows a schematic representation of a combi telescope. The figure shows the general configuration parameters for storage and retrieval from the configuration of the software module. These are explained in more detail below. For descriptions of all configuration parameters, refer to chapter Configuration.

  • Belt end / synchronous point [1]
  • For the application, the end of the belt represents the synchronous point for storage and retrieval operations. At this point, the telescope and belt have the same speed so that the transfer of a box from telescope to belt (remove from stock) or belt to telescope (transfer to stock) can be performed without any slip. The belt end or the synchronous point cannot be explicitly set in the configuration of the software module in MOVISUITE®. However, other parameters refer to this point.

The following parameters are essential for the motion sequence of the load handling device, and can be measured or taken from technical drawings.

  • Distance of box to belt end [2]
  • During the storage process, the distance between the box at the front and the end of the belt is part of the synchronization distance of the belt.
  • Distance of telescope in home position to belt end [3]
  • The distance of the telescope in the home position to the end of the belt is part of the telescope's synchronization distance during the storage process.
  • Length of belt conveyor [6]
  • Length of the belt conveyors in the application. All belt conveyors must have the same length.
