When filling the gear units in accordance with the lubricant table, the following standard temperature ranges are permitted:

The nominal data of the gear units and gearmotors specified in the catalog refer to an ambient temperature of +25 °C. Outside the standard temperature range, you can use SEW-EURODRIVE gear units for ambient temperatures of up to -40 °C in the deep cooling range and up to +60 °C by adapting the project planning. The project planning must take into account the special operating conditions and adapt the drive to the ambient conditions by selecting suitable lubricants and seals. SEW-EURODRIVE recommends thermal project planning for the drives in general and offers to perform the project planning.
