Interference emission

The cable length must be as short as possible for EMC-compliant installation. SEW‑EURODRIVE recommends using low-capacitance cables. To comply with limit class C2 according to EN 61800‑3, the measures listed below must be taken.

Size 0SWhen using unshielded motor cables in conjunction with the HD.. or HF.. output options, observe the following for sizes 0S 1-phase and 0L: Limit value class C2 is adhered to with regard to the line-connected faults. Additional measures may be required to achieve limit value class C2 in the event of radiating interference, see the "Drive Engineering – Practical Implementation" manual (part number 11535806). C3 is observed for size 0 with regard to both cable-bound and radiating interference., 0LWhen using unshielded motor cables in conjunction with the HD.. or HF.. output options, observe the following for sizes 0S 1-phase and 0L: Limit value class C2 is adhered to with regard to the line-connected faults. INFORMATION

During startup, "Operation with output filter" must be set if the relevant criteria are met.

INFORMATION

The EMC limit values for interference emission are not specified for voltage supply systems without grounded star point (IT systems). The efficiency of filters is severely limited.
