Importing libraries

To import libraries, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the "Library" tab.
  2. Click [Import library] to select an individual library package or click [Import libraries from directories] to select a directory with library packages or drag and drop library packages into the corresponding area. Library packages have the following syntax: Name-Version-Version.sdclib. INFORMATION: If an older version of a library you would like to install is already available, a corresponding notice is displayed. Installing the new version will overwrite the already installed version of the library.
  • The libraries are imported and displayed in the "Installed libraries" section.
  • The containers and templates included in the installed library are displayed in the corresponding tabs and are marked as write-protected with an "eye" icon.
Importing libraries at program start

As an alternative, you have the option of importing libraries when starting the SDC. To do so, place the library packages you would like to import in the following directory:

C:\ProgramData\SEW\SmartDataCollector\preset\SEW-Data-Collector-Library

The library packages from the directory will then be imported when the SDC starts and displayed as "New" in the "Installed libraries" section. The files must be deleted manually from the preset directory after import to prevent the library packages from being imported again each time the SDC starts.
