SLI safety sub-function with MOVISAFE® CS..A
The SLI safety sub-function can be used to implement safe, relative position functions. The SLI function monitors whether the set limits are exceeded. The defined limits are calculated based on the settings of the following parameters:
- Increment
- Deceleration a
- Effective direction
- Maximum speed

The SLI function and SLI increment enable must not be activated at the same time. With simultaneous control, the parameterized stop state is not canceled.
When the SLI function is activated, first the parameterized stop state is activated. The "STO stop state" or "SOS stop state" setting can then be used to deactivate the stop state by a 0 → 1 edge of SLI increment enable, and the SLI function can monitor the parameterized limits. The "SOS stop state" can only be used if the SOS safety sub-function has been parameterized and the Control inverter parameter is set to "Active".
If the stop state is parameterized to "No stop state", the parameterized limits are monitored without prior increment enable.
The limits are calculated based on the current position upon activation of monitoring. The monitoring curve in the effective direction comprises the set increment and delay.
The SLI increment enable deactivates the stop state and calculates the limit position:
- Positive limit position: Actual position plus increment
- Negative limit position: Actual position minus increment
The stop state is activated immediately when SLI increment enable is revoked. With the next increment enable, the limits are recalculated based on the actual position. After a limit value violation, the SLI increment enable or the SLI function must be deactivated before acknowledgment, otherwise the limit value violation will be reported again after acknowledgment.
