Work steps to replace the seal

Loss of the guaranteed degree of protection.
Damage to property.
  • When the interface module is removed from the motor, the interface module and motor must be protected from humidity, dust, and foreign particles.
  • Make sure that the interface module has been mounted properly.

Replace the seal of the MOVIMOT® performance ELV as follows:

  1. Perform the steps according to chapter Preliminary work regarding inspection and maintenance.
  2. Undo the screws of the interface module and remove it.
  3. NOTICE! Loss of the guaranteed degree of protection. Possible damage to property. Make sure not to damage the sealing surfaces when removing the gasket. Loosen the used gasket by levering it off the retaining cams.
    • Disassembly is easier if you adhere to the sequence shown in the following figure.
  4. Remove the old seal completely from the motor.
  5. CAUTION! Risk of injury due to sharp edges. Cutting injuries. Use protective gloves when cleaning. Ensure that work is carried out by trained specialists only. Carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the motor and interface module.
  6. Place the new seal on the motor and fix it with the retaining cams. Installation is facilitated if you follow the illustrated order.
  7. Place the interface module back on the motor and secure it.
    • Proceed as follows when screwing on the interface module: Insert/screw in the screws and tighten them in diametrically opposite sequence step by step with a tightening torque of 1.4 Nm – 1.6 Nm.
