General settings | |
Show metadata warnings if metadata is incomplete | Specify whether warnings (small warning triangles) are displayed in the device list for the devices if the "application type" and "functional location" metadata are not filled. The option is disabled by default. |
Check Internet connectivity and notify user | Specify whether the connection to the SEW‑EURODRIVE website should be checked periodically (5 min) in the background and a warning should be displayed in the event of an error. The option is disabled by default. INFORMATION: To check the connection to the endpoints, see Audit. |
Check data containers for overlapping parameter configurations | Specify whether a data container is to be compared with other data containers when creating or saving a data container to detect data redundancy. If the same parameters are detected in the data model, a note is displayed. The displayed note can be ignored via a button. The option is enabled by default. |
Disable MOVI-B scope data containers if MotionStudio Scope tool is running. | Specify whether a process monitor is executed in the background that monitors whether a MotionStudio scope application is running. If this is the case, a warning is displayed and all MOVI-B scope data containers are deactivated temporarily. When the MotionStudio scope application is closed, the MOVI-B scope data containers are automatically activated again. The option is enabled by default. |
Discard MOVI-B and MOVI-C scope container events if sample count is incomplete. | Specify whether data events are discarded if the number of read data points during scope recording is smaller than the number of configured data points. This case occurs, for example if the scope memory is too small for a fixed number of data points. Instead of sending the incomplete scope recording as a data event, the data is discarded when this option is activated. An error message is not displayed. INFORMATION: If this option is activated and a trigger has been configured for which data acquisition is directly active, the data of the 1st trigger event is discarded. |
Monitor MOVI-B and MOVI-C data containers for external state changes | Specify whether state changes due to additional applications that work with the software (e.g. the PreprocessingApp activates or deactivates a container) are displayed in the dashboard. |
Start and close | |
Action when application is closed | Select which of the following actions should be performed when closing the application.
|
Run software when Windows starts | Specify whether the software should start automatically when Windows starts. The option is disabled by default.
|

IoT Suite operating mode | |
[Activate IoT Suite operating mode] button
INFORMATION: When using a factory license, the IoT Suite operating mode is automatically activated. | Activate the preconfigured settings of the software to work optimally in conjunction with the IoT Suite. Once you have confirmed the activation, the program configuration is adjusted accordingly. For more information, see IoT Suite operating mode. Deactivating the IoT Suite operating mode does not undo the adjusted program configuration, but simply does not force it further. To reset the configuration, save the current settings before activating the IoT Suite operating mode. See also Data backup. |
Factory settings | |
[Restore factory settings] | Reset the software to the factory settings. All the current settings will be deleted. |
System services | |
[Restart services] button | Stop all background services (e.g. in the event of an error) and then start again. The wait time is approx. 50 seconds. |
