Cycle times
The cycle times listed as follows will result depending on which hardware and software components are used. These cycle times must be set on the MOVI‑C® CONTROLLER and/or on the inverters. For information on how to set the cycle time, refer to chapter Setting the cycle time.
The following specifications apply with regard to the hardware used:
- When using the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER UHX25A, the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER UHX45A or the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER UHX65A-R01, set the cycle time on the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER and on the inverters to ≥ 3 ms.
- When using the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER UHX65A-R02, set the cycle time on the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER to ≥ 2 ms.
- When using the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER UHX65A-R04 or UHX85A, set the cycle time on the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER to ≥ 1 ms.
INFORMATION: The cycle time specifications are only guide values for typical pick-and-place applications with a 3‑axis robot. When several robotics instances or additional software is/are used and depending on the functionality used, the cycle time must be set to a higher value than specified. Contact SEW‑EURODRIVE if necessary.
The following specifications apply with regard to the software used:
- When the following software is used, set the cycle time on the MOVI‑C® CONTROLLER and on the inverters to ≤ 4 ms:
- MOVIKIT® MultiMotion add-on PositionController
- MOVIKIT® MultiMotion add-on CombinedEncoderEvaluation
- MOVIKIT® Motion add-on AntiSway
- When the MOVIKIT® Robotics add-on CollisionDetection is used, set the cycle time on the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER and on the inverters to 1 ms.
If you want to use other cycle times, contact SEW‑EURODRIVE Service.
