Replacing the output oil seal

  1. Follow the information in the "Inspection and maintenance intervals" chapter in the "DR..71-315, DRN63-315, DR2..56-80 AC motors" operating instructions and in the add-on to the "DR2C... AC motors" supplement to the operating instructions.
  2. Perform the steps according to the Preliminary work regarding inspection and maintenance chapter.
  3. Remove the drive unit from the system.
  4. NOTICE! Oil seals below 0 °C can become damaged during installation. Damage to property. Store oil seals at ambient temperatures over 0 °C. If necessary, heat the oil seals before installation. When changing the oil seal, ensure that there is an adequate grease deposit between the dust and sealing lip, depending on the design.
    • When using dual oil seals, fill the gap up to a third with grease.
    • Do not reinstall the oil seal on the same run mark.
  5. Touch up or renew the surface/anti‑corrosion coating.
