Connecting axes or axis groups

All of the axes that are subordinate to the MOVIKIT® StackerCrane (individual axes or MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController) must be connected to the supply unit via the "Energy coupling" function. If they work in hoist mode, the connected software modules must be assigned the application type "Vertical drive".

INFORMATION

All of the axes connected to an energy storage unit must travel within the same lifting range.

SRS project with MultiAxisController

If you use a MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the configuration for the lower-level MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiMotion axes.
  2. In the "Basic settings" configuration menu, activate the "MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController" in the "Higher-level MOVIKIT®" section.
  3. Open the configuration of the higher-level MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController.
  4. In the "Basic settings" configuration menu, activate the "Energy coupling" function in the "Functions used" area.
    • The configuration menu "Energy coupling" is displayed in the MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController configuration.
  5. Open the configuration menu Energy coupling.
  6. Use the corresponding setting fields to specify the axis with the energy storage unit ("Power supply module name") and the application type ("Standard" or "Vertical drive").
  7. Adjust the optional information in the area "Motion parameters for reduced operation". These configured values are intended for use without an energy storage unit and become relevant if the energy storage unit is disconnected or the charge voltage is too low (e.g. to move to a better position for maintenance and repair).

SRS project without MultiAxisController

If you use MultiMotion axes without a higher-level MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the configuration for the MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiMotion axes.
  2. In the "Basic settings" configuration menu, activate the "Energy coupling" function in the "Functions used" area.
    • The configuration menu "Energy coupling" is displayed in the MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiMotion configuration.
  3. Open the configuration menu Energy coupling.
