Adding PROFINET IO devices

You can add PROFINET IO devices in the following ways:

• Scan network: All devices must be correctly connected and switched on.
• Manual configuration: Offline programming/preparation.

The prerequisite for both methods is the prior installation of the manufacturer's device description file.

• Installing the PROFINET IO device description file (GSDML)
• Scanning the PROFINET IO controller network for devices
• Parameterizing PROFINET IO devices and process data
• Testing the PROFINET IO controller
