Operating principle
The "Automatic discharge mode" connects the energy storage unit (if it is not connected yet) and discharges it down to 0 V via the braking resistor. The value 0 V is then maintained. To use this operating mode, the resistance value and the maximum continuous power of the external resistor must be configured via the "Operating modes" > Energy storage discharge configuration menu.
If the operating mode is changed during discharge, the discharge process is interrupted, but the energy storage unit is not disconnected. Discharging can be resumed at a later time.
The following variants are permitted:
- A connectable energy storage unit has been parameterized, and "Active DC synchronization" is set as the "Storage connection variant". In this case, the energy storage unit is automatically connected before readiness for operation is established.
- A connectable energy storage unit has been parameterized, and "Inrush Current Limiter" is set as the "Storage connection variant". In this case, the system waits for the user to connect the energy storage unit.
- A permanently connected energy storage unit is parameterized.
