Guidelines for secure operation

The engineering protocol from SEW‑EURODRIVE allows to activate various interfaces on the device. No authentication takes place and no user account management guidelines are applied that are used to protect against changes or to prevent attacks on IT security.

To prevent misuse of the interfaces, access must be restricted using state-of-the-art technology. For more information, refer to section IT security of the environment.
