Installing the hardware binding file on the visualization device

  1. Switch to the "PLC Shell" tab and run the following command to install the hardware binding file. When doing this, replace *.xml with the file name of the hardware binding file.
    sewlicmgr install HwBinding *.xml
    • The hardware binding file has been installed.
  2. Run the following command to check the hardware binding:
    sewlicmgr info
    • The output now shows that a hardware binding is available.
  3. Run the following command to display a detailed list of the existing hardware bindings (SMID /HWID):
    sewlicmgr list HwBindings
    • The hardware binding that has been created is listed.
    • The license file status ("LicenceFileState" column) indicates that the license file is missing.
  4. Copy the HWID specified under "Binding ID".
