Operation without energy storage unit

In the case of applications with double-layer capacitors, temporary operation without a storage unit is possible.

The disconnection procedure required for this purpose is automatically controlled by the MOVIKIT^® PowerMode or EnergyMode software module. For further information, refer to the respective MOVIKIT^® manuals. Short-term operation without an energy storage unit is possible with a charged storage unit.

For safety reasons, the energy storage unit must be discharged beforehand if the application is going to be operated without an energy storage unit for a longer period (> one hour).
