Description: Heat sink overtemperature

 

Response: Emergency stop + output stage inhibit

Cause

Measure

Maximum permitted heat sink temperature exceeded. The capacity utilization is possibly too high.

– Reduce the load.

– Reduce the rms value of the current.

– Reduce the PWM frequency.

– Ensure sufficient cooling.

– Reduce the ambient temperature.

Subfault: 11.2

Description: Heat sink utilization – prewarning

 

Response: Warning

Cause

Measure

High thermal load on heat sink of device, and prewarning threshold reached.

– Reduce the load.

– Reduce the rms value of the output current.

– Reduce the PWM frequency.

– Ensure sufficient cooling.

– Reduce the ambient temperature.

Description: Signal electronics overtemperature

 

Response: Emergency stop + output stage inhibit

– Reduce the load.

– Reduce the ambient temperature.

Description: Temperature sensor of heat sink faulty

Wire break detected at temperature sensor of heat sink.

Contact SEW‑EURODRIVE Service.

Short circuit detected at temperature sensor of heat sink.

Contact SEW‑EURODRIVE Service.

Description: Temperature sensor of signal electronics faulty

 

Response: Emergency stop + output stage inhibit

Wire break detected at temperature sensor of signal electronics.

Contact SEW‑EURODRIVE Service.

Short circuit detected at temperature sensor of signal electronics.

Contact SEW‑EURODRIVE Service.

Description: External temperature sensor faulty

Measure

Wire break detected at external temperature sensor.

Check the wiring of the external temperature sensor.

Short circuit detected at external temperature sensor.
