Line operation
When operated on the supply system, the motor is operated at a constant speed depending on the line frequency and number of poles. The permitted operating time of the motor is defined by the information on the nameplate. Since the speed of the motor and thus the cooling are constant during operation, no separate thermal project planning of the brake is required for ventilated drives. The prerequisite for this is that the brake is de-energized when the motor is switched off.
