Combination options and combination restrictions, frequency inverter

Drives with BE.. electromechanical brakes/safety brakes can be operated on frequency inverters from SEW-EURODRIVE and on third-party inverters. To do so, observe the documentation for the respective product.

As holding brakes with emergency stop properties, BE..H brakes can only be operated on drives with a frequency inverter.

Note: In safety-relevant applications, further requirements might be required for brakes or BE.. safety brakes within the overall system. These requirements, e.g. safe torque off (STO), safe brake control (SBC), or a brake test, can restrict the selection of a suitable frequency inverter.  Make sure that the frequency inverter is suitable for the requirements.
