Additional settings for connection type B
The following settings are required for connection type B.
With connection type B, the setting for the power supply monitoring must be adjusted as soon as a MOVITRAC® advanced is present in the DC link connection:
- Setting on the large inverter:
- No adjustment required.
- Setting on the smaller inverter:
- Deactivate the fault response to line phase failure:
- In the parameterization, configure the fault response to line phase failure to the "No response" function under [Functions] > [Monitoring functions] > [Power supply monitoring] > [Response to line phase failure].
If a MOVITRAC® advanced is integrated into the DC link connection with connection type B, the larger inverter sends the information whether the DC link can be connected to a load. This information is transferred to the smaller inverter via a digital input or a control bit in the process data.
As long as the DC link status is set to [no load capacity], the smaller inverter remains in the [not ready] state. For this purpose, connect a suitably parameterized digital output of the larger inverter to a digital input of the smaller inverter.
- Setting on the large inverter:
- In the parameterization, configure a digital output to the "Ready for operation" function (8332.1) under [Functions] > [Inputs/outputs] > [Basic unit] > [Digital outputs].
- Setting on the smaller inverter:
- In the parameterization, configure a digital output to the "DC link ready" function (8332.4) under [Functions] > [Inputs/outputs] > [Basic unit] > [Digital outputs].
