"Remove from stock" operating mode

During the retrieval process, the box is transported on the telescope toward the end of the belt. The belt travels the specified "Belt pretravel distance" until the box reaches the synchronous point ("belt end"). As soon as the box has reached the synchronous point, the telescope and belt have the same speed and the box is transferred from the telescope to the belt. As soon as the box no longer has any contact with the telescope, the telescope is positioned at the specified "Position". During this process, the belt picks up the box completely and positions it by the distance specified in "Belt overtravel distance". This means the distance between the box and the belt end at the end of the retrieval process is the "Belt overtravel distance".

The telescope must be moved to the corresponding position as a start condition for the retrieval process. The box is then removed from stock using the application-specific parameters and the start command.

Application-specific parameters

The parameters of the axis group are used as the basis for the "Remove from stock" operating mode. This includes the start and reset command in the control word as well as the dynamics parameters of the axis group.

The following application-specific parameters are available for the retrieval process:

  • Position
  • Absolute position of the telescope at the end of the retrieval process.
  • Box length
  • Length of the box to be retrieved or total length of several boxes during simultaneous retrieval.
  • Box offset
  • Protrusion of the box to be transported beyond the telescope.
  • The following figure shows the "Box offset" parameter as the distance between the end of the telescope and the maximum storage depth:
  • No box on LHD
  • The belt travels the same distance as the telescope until the box reaches the synchronous point. The value specified for the "Belt pretravel distance" is deactivated in this case. This behavior prevents the speed from dropping while the box is being removed from stock. INFORMATION: This function should only be used if there is not yet a box present on the LHD during the process of removing a box from stock.
  • Belt pretravel distance
  • When this process data is active, the set Belt pretravel distance parameter is overwritten. INFORMATION: To activate this process data, the "Belt pretravel distance via PD" must be activated in the "Remove from stock" area of the "Fieldbus interface" configuration menu.
  • Belt overtravel distance
  • When this process data is active, the set Belt overtravel distance parameter is overwritten. INFORMATION: To activate this process data, the "Belt overtravel distance via PD" must be activated in the "Remove from stock" area of the "Fieldbus interface" configuration menu.
