In parallel operation (using MOVIKIT® ParallelMode), this additional function is performed on the master device.
The StorageMonitor function enables the evaluation of diagnostic interfaces of different energy storage types to protect the energy storage unit against overloading.
You can uses energy storage units that are either installed in the DC link without control or are connected to the DC link via MDE90A. The following figure shows an example topology:
In parallel operation (using MOVIKIT® ParallelMode), the diagnostic interfaces of the energy storage units should only be linked to the MOVIKIT® ParallelMode and not to one of the lower-level devices. The only exception to this rule is SEW-EURODRIVE's own EKS energy storage unit. The storage diagnostics data of the energy storage units (MDC90A, ESS storage cabinet, etc.) is handled via the master device to which the storage controller is also connected. The warnings, errors, and event bits of the energy modules and the energy storage unit are mirrored into the MOVIKIT® ParallelMode and can be queried there.
