Process sequence and signal states

INFORMATION

For the behavior of the drive in idle state, observe the information for the "Stop functions" in the "Functions" > "Monitoring functions" > "Control functions" configuration menu of the inverter.

Signal states

[1]

General enable

  • PO 1:0 = "1"
  • Enable/emergency stop

PO 1:0

  • "1": Enable
  • "0": Deceleration with emergency stop ramp
  • PO 1:1 = "1"
  • Enable/application stop

PO 1:1

  • "1": Enable
  • "0": Deceleration according to application limit

[1]

Selection of operating modes

"Cut length control without material sensor"

PO 6

1400 (decimal)

[1] to [2]

Start of the axis

PO 1:7

PO 18/19

PI 2

  • "1": The drive synchronizes to the master signal in a position-dependent way.
  • "0": The drive desynchronizes. The master distance is specified by PO 18/19.

Instant cut

PO 9:0

  • "1": The drive starts synchronization directly.
  • "0": The drive synchronizes after the preset cutting length PO 11/12 has elapsed.

[1] to [5]

ACTIVE
Master-based mode active

PI 9:0

  • "1": The synchronous operation status of PI 9 (HighByte) is not "STOPPED".
  • "0": The synchronous operation status of PI 9 (HighByte) is "STOPPED".

[2]

Drive is synchronous

PI 9:1

  • "1": The synchronous operation status of PI 9 (HighByte) is "ACTIVE".
  • "0": The synchronous operation status of PI 9 (HighByte) is not "ACTIVE".

[3]

Start "Pulling a gap"

PO 9:2

  • "1": The "Pulling a gap" function is started. If PO 9:1 is also "1", first the gap is pulled and then the movement to the start position is started.
  • "0": No gap is pulled.

[3] to [4]

"Pulling a gap" active

The drive superimposes a travel profile to generate a gap in the material.

[4]

"Pulling a gap" finished

PI 9:2

  • "1": "Pulling a gap" is finished and the drive begins the movement to the start position. If PO 9:1 is "0" at this time, the drive remains in synchronous operation.

[4] to [5]

Move to start position

PO 9:1

PO 7/8

  • "1": The drive moves back to the start position specified via PO 7/8.
  • INFORMATION: The signal is not evaluated if the synchronous operation status is PI 9 (HighByte) = "GEAR-IN".

[5]

If the actual position lies within the configured window width, the feedback "In position" is issued. The drive stops subject to position control.

PI 1:7

  • "1": "In position" message active.
Behavior when enable is withdrawn:

If the enable is withdrawn from the drive while the synchronous operation status is not equal to "STOPPED", the drive stops with the corresponding deceleration and the operating mode is canceled.

The drive must be moved back to the start position using the "Positioning absolute" operating mode (400) before the "Automatic – cut length control" operating mode (1400) can be started again.

If the enable is withdrawn from the drive while the synchronous operation status is "STOPPED", the drive is stopped. A new enable continues the movement. If the synchronization position has not yet been reached, the drive synchronizes again after the cutting length has been reached. Otherwise, an error is reported.

Behavior when start is withdrawn:

If the start signal is withdrawn from the operating mode while the synchronous operation status is not equal to "STOPPED", the drive desynchronizes according to the configured desynchronization strategy and the operating mode is canceled.

The drive must be moved back to the start position using the "Positioning absolute" operating mode (400) before the "Automatic – cut length control" operating mode (1400) can be started again. If the start signal is withdrawn from the operating mode while the synchronous operation status is "STOPPED", the drive is stopped with the deceleration PO 4. When the start signal is present again, the operating mode is continued. If the target cutting length has not yet been reached, the drive synchronizes again after the cutting length has been reached. Otherwise, an error is reported.
