The figure shows the layout of the function block.

The function block has the following inputs:

Input	Meaning
`xUpdateConfigbeforeStartExternal`	Specifies when the parameters are written. Modification and loading of parameters
`stStepper`	Structure that contains the configuration parameters, control variables, and process data. The individual variables are described in chapter Variables used.
`stUsedSEWStepperMotor`	The Motor selection is used for initialization, not in the block call itself.
`stUsedSupplyVoltage`	The Power supply selection is used for initialization, not in the block call itself.
`uiStepperInputStartStatusAdr`	Address of the channel `DRV1_CONTROL`
`uiStepperInputStartPosAdr`	Address of the channel `DRV1_POS_REQ_VAL`
`uiStepperOutputStartStatusAdr`	Address of the channel `DRV1_STATUS`
`uiStepperOutputStartActPosAdr`	Address of the channel `DRV1_POS_ACCT_VAL`
