Master/slave

With active master/slave function, the drives of the selected fieldbus controller are controlled by the control commands of a neighboring fieldbus controller (upstream/downstream). For this purpose, the internal logic is switched off and the start/stop command is issued by the neighboring fieldbus controller.

To activate the master/slave function, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on the [Advanced dialog] button in the main menu of ECShell.
  2. Open the "Master/slave" tab.
  3. Select either the upstream or the downstream fieldbus controller as master in the "Master module" setting.
  • The master/slave function is active.
