Zero Pressure Accumulation

ZPA (Zero Pressure Accumulation) is a common term in light-load materials handling technology and means contactless conveying of products. In order to map ZPA, the conveyor line is divided into individual segments, referred to as conveying zones. Each zone is equipped with a sensor, at least one motor roller and several carrier rollers (not driven). Power transmission between motor roller and carrier rollers is realized using a transmission head (round belts or Poly-V).

Overview of the advantages of a ZPA-controlled conveyor line:

  • High product output due to sequential monitoring
  • High throughput
  • High conveying speed
  • High flexibility
