The ECDriveS® drive system from SEW-EURODRIVE consists of a highly efficient brushless permanent magnet motor in 24 V or 48 V design and an all-metal planetary gear unit. The drive is directly integrated into a conveyor roller or can also be universally used as a gearmotor. The design offers maximum reliability, outstanding torque and smooth and quiet operation, even in the most demanding applications.

The motor roller is available in 2 variants – with integrated or external commutation electronics as ECR-I or ECR-A motor roller. Both variants are supplied with DC extra-low voltage.

The ECR-A motor roller is controlled via remote commutation electronics and a digital motor interface with Ethernet-based zone control. The ECC-DFC fieldbus controller is characterized by an integrated conveyor logic capable of decentralized implementation of zero pressure accumulation and many other handling tasks.

ECR-I motor rollers use the analog 0 – 10 V standard and are designed to be compatible with many third-party motor controllers. In addition to analog control, the ECR-I motor roller has a complete I/O link interface.

Both roller variants enable complex control with positioning function and precise drive diagnostics.

The ECDriveS® drive system can be scaled in terms of functionality and performance and can be ideally adapted to any conveying task.
