Status LED "BF" (Bus Fault)/"L41"

The status LED "BF" or "L41" is present in the following controllers:

  • MOVI-C® CONTROLLER UHX65A‑R (L41)
  • MOVI‑C® CONTROLLER UHX45A‑N (BF)
  • MOVI‑C® CONTROLLER UHX25A‑N (BF)
  • MOVI‑C® FIELD CONTROLLER MFC1../FHX25‑N (BF)
  • MOVI‑C® FIELD CONTROLLER MFC1../FHX45‑N (BF)

The status LED indicates the status of the PROFINET connection. The status LED meets and expands the requirements of AIDA (Automation Initiative of German Domestic Automobile manufacturers).

The PROFINET device is exchanging data with the PROFINET controller (Data Exchange state).

Flashing

Faulty topology, media redundancy, interface settings (baud rate, half/full duplex).

Check and correct the topology, media redundancy, interface settings (baud rate, half/full duplex) if necessary.

Red

Permanently lit

Connection to the PROFINET controller has failed.

Bus communication has been interrupted.

Check the PROFINET connection of the PROFINET device.

Check all the cables in the PROFINET network.

The PROFINET controller is not in operation.

Check the PROFINET controller.

The PROFINET device does not detect a PROFINET baud rate.

Check the configuration of the PROFINET controller.

Yellow

Permanently lit

There is a connection to the PROFINET controller, but the configuration of the PROFINET network is faulty.

The following errors may have occurred:

  • A hardware module was selected that does not support the PROFINET interface.
  • The standard process data and the safe process data were mixed and assigned to to the PROFINET device.

Check the configuration of the PROFINET controller.
